Lifelines planting project - St Ethelburga's

By Lifelines planting project - 01 August 2024

Lifelines works with farmers, landowners, and communities across the UK to support them in planting woodland and hedgerows on their land with the help of different faith & non-faith groups from across the country. We organise funded planting weekends throughout the winter where we bring two communities together (roughly 20 people; often city dwellers with limited access to land) to plant up to 1,000 trees or hedgerows provided by the Woodland Trust on a weekend. Last winter, we planted ~3200m of hedgerow and >17,000 trees on farms across England and Wales.

We're currently looking for farms we can support this winter (2024/25) by bringing people to help with planting trees/hedgerows on the land.

Here is our project page, a short video to give a better sense of what we do and the farmer/landowner application form.
